How to Use the UTM Feature in Pollen
Learn how to use Pollen’s UTM tracking feature to add campaign tracking links to your posts. This step-by-step guide walks you through enabling UTM parameters for each social platform so you can measure link performance in your analytics dashboard.
Step-by-Step Instructions

Create a New Post
Start by drafting your content in the Create a Post screen within Pollen. -
Add Your Link
Include the link you want to track in the body of your post. -
Step 3: Choose a Campaign (Optional but Recommended)
Before saving, select the campaign you'd like to associate with this post. This helps organize your content and enables deeper analytics reporting within Pollen.

Select the Channels
Choose the social media channels (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok) where you want the post to be published. -
Navigate to Each Social Tab
Once saved, hover over to each individual platform tab to apply UTM settings separately. -
Toggle on “Apply UTM Tracking Link in This Post”
Turn this toggle on for each platform where you want tracking enabled. -
Repeat for All Channels
You must enable this toggle separately for every social media platform selected in your post. For example, turn the UTM toggle on in the Facebook tab, then repeat in the Instagram, LinkedIn, or TikTok tabs as needed. -
Confirm and Publish
Double-check that the UTM toggle is turned on for all platforms, then go ahead and schedule or publish your post as usual.
Pro Tip
UTM tracking works best when your destination URL leads to a site where you can view analytics (like Google Analytics or your own CRM dashboard). Make sure your website supports UTM parameters for accurate campaign attribution!
