Scheduling Content by Platform in Pollen: Full Guide

Pollen makes it easy to customize your publishing schedule by channel, giving you full control over when and where your content appears. Follow the steps below to schedule a post for selected platforms.

Step 1: Start a New Post

  • From your Pollen dashboard, click the “Create Post” button in the top-right corner.

Step 2: Turn On “Schedule Post”

  • Scroll beneath the post body and toggle on the “Schedule Post” option.

  • Enabling this allows you to select a specific time and date for publishing.

  • If you’ve selected multiple platforms, this also enables the “Schedule by Channel” feature for more customized timing

Step 3: Customize Your Content by Channel (Optional)

  • Once channels are selected, a row of channel icons will appear at the top of the editor.

  • Click on each icon to tailor your content per platform:

    • Captions – Write unique copy for each platform depending on length and tone.

    • Hashtags – Add or remove hashtags based on what works best on each platform.

    • Tracking Links – Use channel-specific UTM links for more accurate analytics.

  • If scheduling individually, you’ll also see an option to set the time for that specific channel.

Step 4: Set Your Date & Time

  • Scroll down to the “Schedule Post” section of the editor.

  • Use the calendar and time selector to choose when you want your post to publish.

  • If you'd like to schedule each platform at a different time:

    • Toggle on “Schedule by Channel.”

    • Click on each channel icon at the top of the post editor.

    • Set a custom date and time for each platform in its respective editor view.

  • This is great for staggering rollout times based on audience activity or campaign pacing.

Step 5: Schedule Now or Save as a Draft

  • Not ready to schedule yet? You can choose “Save as Draft” and come back to it later.
